Timothy Paul Poteat, age 63 of Mountain City, died August 26, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Poteat was born April 19, 1961 in Maryland, son of the late Paul Poteat and Peggy Phillippi. He grew up in Watauga County, NC and later moved to Johnson County, TN where he currently resided.
Timothy is survived by his four children, Timothy “T.C.” Poteat and wife Amanda, Schasta Phillips and husband Joshua, Paul Poteat and Gideon Poteat; sisters, Debra Shore and husband James, Sheila Carpenter and late husband Roger and Lisa Darnell; grandkids, Ava Phillips, Kitiana Poteat, Zyler Poteat, Jaxon Poteat; nieces and nephews, Chris Morrison, Billie Isaacs, Summer Rayne, Vanessa Isaacs, Samantha Darnell, Matthew Darnell, James Shore; special friends, Gerald Buckles, Frank Morrison; several great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home with Warren May officiating.
