With heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of our beloved, husband, father, pawpaw, son, brother, and friend, Timothy (Tim) Edward Standard, who went home to be with the Lord in the early morning of September 4, 2025, at the age of 50. After battling illness for many years, Tim passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, and received his ultimate healing in the arms of his Savior.
Born May 19, 1975, in Austell, GA, Tim lived a life filled with love, laughter, music, and a deep passion for sports. Alongside his love of baseball, golf, fishing, and cheering on his Dawgs, Tim had a remarkable gift for all things music-able to name a song and artist within seconds, a talent that often brought smiles and sparked conversations everywhere he went.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lewis & Jamie Standard, and his maternal grandparents, Russell & Sara Walker.
Tim is survived by his devoted wife, Jamie Standard; his sons, Wesley Standard (wife, Nicole & granddaughter, Oaklynn) and Brett Standard (fiancée, Keelie); his parents, Phil and Gina Standard; and his brother, Tom Standard.
A friend to everyone, Tim had a passion for coaching and mentoring. From his early days playing baseball, running cross country, and competing in varsity tennis, to discovering a love for golf and fishing, Tim shared his joy of sports with countless others. He inspired athletes in baseball, golf, and basketball-teaching them not only the skills of the game but the heart behind it.
