Timothy Swanson III

Timothy Swanson, III was born September 19 th, 2000, in Birmingham, AL to Timothy
Swanson, Jr. and Yvette Burton (Swanson). He was lovingly raised by his mother,
Yvette and William Washington, Jr. Timothy passed away Wednesday November 19 th,
2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, surrounded by close
family and friends who loved and supported him, and many that stood by his side
throughout his journey.
Timothy attended Glen Iris Elementary, W.J. Christian, Smith Middle, and Huffman High
School in Birmingham, AL. He furthered his studies at Lincoln Tech, Nashville, TN
(Automotive Technology). Prior to his illness he dedicated his skills as a Mechanical
Journeyman at the GM Corvette Assembly Plant-Bowling Green, KY, where he resided.
Timothy loved his twin girls unconditionally and cherished moments with family and
friends. He especially loved watching Alabama Football, cheering on the Crimson Tide.
His warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all
who knew him.
Timothy was preceded in death by his great grandmothers: Lillian Pickett and Inez
Short; grandmother, Alfreda Swanson. He is survived by his twin daughters, Brielle and
Bi'Yanni; parents Yvette Burton, William Washington, Jr. and biological father, Timothy
Swanson, Jr.; sister Whitney Swanson; fiancé Rayvionna Silvils (Londyn & Kaizyion) his
partner, confidant, and caregiver; grandmother Lillian Theresa Burton; grandfathers
Michael Burton (Linda), Timothy Swanson Sr. (Linda); a host of aunts, uncles, cousins
and dear friends; his mentors, from early childhood until his departure, Jeff McLeod and
Vernon Jackson.
