Timothy Noel Thomas, 78, of Porter, OK, was born February 3, 1946, to Elmer and Marion (Babbett) Thomas and peacefully passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. Timothy graduated from Sand Springs High School, and went on to further his education for two years at Northeastern State University. He joined the United States Coast Guard on January 28, 1966, and was transferred to reserve duty on January 27, 1970, before being honorably discharged on January 27, 1972. Tim faithfully and selflessly served our country for six years. He met and later married his best friend and the love of his life, Donna Davis, on February 19, 1977, in Clemons, Iowa. He created many life-long friendships while working at Steve's Wholesale District, where he was the general sales manager for 33 years. Tim was a people person and enjoyed making new friends. He taught the young men's Sunday School class for many years at Okay First Baptist Church. He later attended New Community Church. Tim was always a welcoming face, both in and out of church. He was a committee member for the men's "Beast Feast" that is held yearly by New Community at the Civic Center, enjoying food and fellowship with the men there, as well as serving on the board of Rural Water District 7 in Wagoner County. Tim always had an interest in street rod cars and he loved animals. Tim and Donna always had family pets, and currently had Tim's pride and joy, Gypsi, a shelter dog they adopted. He spent the last 26 years in Porter, OK, where he loved being out on his land. Tim enjoyed working with his tractors, box blades, and making sure his acreage was manicured and well taken care of. He and Donna enjoyed traveling, specifically cruises where they made memories. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and unconditional love. Tim will be missed.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Donna of the home; son, Sean Thomas and wife LaDonna of Salina, OK; son, Michael Thomas of Dubuque, IA; grandson, Mitchell R. Thomas of Shawnee, OK; his dog, Gypsi; and many cherished friends.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, noon to 7PM with Tim's family receiving friends 5PM-7PM at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Muskogee.

I went to school for twelve years. We both sang in choir. He was a great guy. May God bless and comfort the family.
