Publish in a newspaper

Steven Roddy Carr, 61, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at his home with his family by his bedside. He was born on July 18, 1964, in Junction City, Kansas, to Roddy Duane and Mary Ann (Daily) Carr.
Steve graduated from high school in Blackwell, Oklahoma, and continued his education at Northern Oklahoma College. He later made Fort Gibson his home for the past 28 years. For over 12 years, Steve worked as a Warehouse Associate for the Cherokee Nation, where he was a dedicated and valued employee.
A faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Muskogee, Steve found strength and community through his faith. His devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. Whether enjoying a round of golf with his sons or organizing a family campout, Steve cherished time spent with loved ones. His greatest joy came from being a grandfather-he rarely missed a game or event and was always cheering from the sidelines.
Steve's life was marked by quiet strength and unwavering love. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather whose presence brought comfort and encouragement to those around him.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Braden Carr of Fort Gibson and Kyson Carr and wife Kelsey of Fort Gibson; daughters-in-law, Taylor Carr of Muskogee and Madison Cheatham of Haskell; grandsons, Axel Carr of Haskell, Bane Carr of Muskogee, and Joey Carr of Fort Gibson; granddaughter, Kylie Carr of Fort Gibson; brother, Greg Carr and wife Leslie of Broken Arrow; sister, Kristi Carr of Blackwell; extended family; and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Steve's name to Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief www.okdisasterhelp.org or your local Youth Baseball Association.
Steve's celebration of life will be 11AM, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Crescent Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Dunn and Pastor Steve Wasson officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Braden Carr, Kyson Carr, Tryon Dunn, Winston Hix, Phil Goodnight, and Patrick Goodnight serving as casket bearers.
The family of Steven Roddy Carr has entrusted his care, service, and burial to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson. 918-478-2555. Online condolences may be left for the Carr family at clifforddgarrettfamilyfh.com
