Timothy P. "Zippy" Werkheiser, 62, of Hellertown passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1st, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Waslufsky) Werkheiser. Born in Ft. Hill, he was the son of the late Ira and Mary (Rosenberger) Werkheiser. He was a graduate of Saucon Valley High, and he started his EMS journey July 18th, 1979, as an Emergency Medical Technician then in 1981 became a Paramedic. Tim was instrumental in the first utilization of Advanced Life Support at the Suburban Rescue Squad. He held many titles in the EMS field. His pride and joy was the MedTech Ambulance Service. Tim was a mentor and friend to all and the life of every joke and prank.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons, Timothy and Thomas Werkheiser, his step daughter, Chelsea Smith, and many cousins.
A Celebration of life service will be held from 2 - 6 PM on January 14, 2023 at the Lehigh Towship Volunteer Fire Company, 4188 Lehigh Valley Drive, Cherryville, PA 18035. All EMS agencies are encouraged to contact Janet Zellner at 484 239 1040.
