Timothy K. Whiteman, 71, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Born in Jeffersonville on August 9, 1954, to the late Jack and Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Whiteman, Tim was a proud 1972 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. For many years, he was a dedicated employee at Nu-Yale Cleaners.
Tim had a lifelong passion for sports, whether he was watching a game, placing a friendly over/under bet, or following the races at the track. He was an avid poker player and a frequent traveler, enjoying trips to Florida and creating lasting memories in Tunica, Mississippi. He had a diverse taste in music, but his favorites were Motown and Southern rock, with The Allman Brothers, The Temptations, and Eric Clapton topping his list. Above all, he was his daughter's biggest fan and loved following her band, the Hi-Tops.
He is survived by his loving partner of 40 years, Mary A. Cunningham; his daughter, Madison Cunningham; his brothers, Kevin Whiteman (Peggy) and Barry Whiteman (Susan); his niece, Madeline Whiteman; and his nephews, Bryan Whiteman, Andrew Whiteman (Sam), and Spencer Whiteman. All of his family reside in the Kentuckiana area; along with his family he loved his feline companion Jethro.
A celebration of Tim's life will be held for friends and family at a later date.
