Tina Renee Sultzman, 59, of Westphalia passed away on January 22, 2025, at Riverview Nursing Center in Mokane. She was born July 31, 1965 in Jefferson City, Missouri, daughter of the late Walter and LaVerne (Schmitz) Fechtel. On April 24, 2004, she was united in marriage to Michael E. Sultzman.
She was a 1983 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia, Missouri and worked for the Department of Natural Resources prior to enlisting in the Armed Forces. She served her country in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1989. She went on to obtain her Cosmetology License in Texas. She later served as an active reserve soldier in the Missouri Army National Guard from 1996 to 2013, retiring as a Sergeant Major after more than 21 years. She was a member of the Western Catholic Union and the American Legion Post 5.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; brother, Troy Fechtel (Judy); and her niece, Olivia Fechtel.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, January 30th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hilke-Millard Funeral Home in Westphalia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia, Missouri on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Dylan Schrader, PhD officiating. Burial with full military honors will be immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
