Tiny Ruth Leigh

Tiny Smith Leigh." Ning", 84, of Fort Oglethorpe, passed away suddenly with her loving family by her side on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at a local hospital.

Tiny was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. She was a 1959 graduate of Central High School and worked for many years as a bookkeeper. Throughout her career, she was employed by Redford's Five and Dime, Volkswagen, TIKA Energies, and Newton Chevrolet GMC, retiring in 2007.

She was a member of First Chattanooga Seventh-day Adventist Church. Tiny dearly loved her family and treasured time spent at family gatherings. She enjoyed shopping, drinking coffee, traveling, camping, reading, and sewing, finding joy in both quiet moments and shared adventures. Tiny will be remembered for her love of family, her gentle spirit, and the warmth she shared with all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruby Smith, and her brother, Joe Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Leigh Weaver and son-in-law Darryl Weaver; sister, Judy Strickland and brother-in-law Dannie Strickland; brother, Jim Smith and sister-in-law Brenda Smith; grandchildren, Daniel Lee Weaver and wife Holly, Mary Weaver Nunez and husband Alex, and Ryan Weaver and wife Monica; great-grandchildren, Caleb Nunez, Stella Nunez, and Marshall Weaver; and several nieces and nephews.
