Toby Shea Abrams

With heavy hearts we share the passing of Toby Shea Abrams, on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the age of 48. Toby was born on May 20, 1975, to Mark and Irene, and raised in the Yakima Valley.
In Yakima Valley, he developed a deep admiration for the great outdoors, including hiking, hunting and fishing.
Toby was a friend to all who met him. With his easy going and kind spirit, he touched the lives of many.
Aside from his love for outdoor adventure, Toby went to school in the East Valley School District, where he was a passionate athlete, focusing on basketball and baseball, both locally and around the nation. In 1993, Toby and his teammates won the Baseball State Championship with the Yakima Pepsi Paks. He later shared his passions for these sports with his son, Porter, by coaching and watching him compete throughout his childhood, high school, and beginning of college. This was his greatest joy!
After graduating high school in 1993, Toby worked for Abrams Construction, then became an entrepreneur, starting Northwest Interiors, and later developing a successful business as a local home inspector.
On August 31, 2002, surrounded by family and friends, Toby married his wife, Jeana McLeod. In August 2005, Toby and Jeana welcomed their son, Porter Shea Abrams, who made their family whole. As a family, they enjoyed simply being together, boating, fishing, vacations, and sporting events. Most importantly, spending memorable time at the family cabin with family and friends, specifically Grandpa Frank and Grandma Delma.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Toby naturally passed his love down to his son. Much time spent, but certainly not enough, enjoying the simple pleasures and creating memories of fishing and hunting together. Toby held great value with the time he spent in the outdoors with his son, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and countless friends.
Toby is survived by his wife, Jeana Abrams, son, Porter Abrams, father, Mark Abrams (Karen), mother, Irene Larson (Steve), brother, Sean Abrams (Christina), stepbrother, Derek (Tristan), uncle, Milo Abrams (Marla), uncle, Myron Abrams (Tracy), uncle, Danny Jones (Nancy), cousin, Mike Abrams (Jesica), cousin, Jodi Abrams (Darrin), cousin, Scott Abrams (Nicole), cousin, Brandy Warner (Andrew), father-in-law, Terry McLeod, great-auntie, Lorene Durkee, cousin, Lori Smelzer (Cliff), cousin, Mike McDonald, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Delma Abrams, mother-in-law, Jeanne McLeod, grandparents, Gordon and Laura Jones, aunt, Laureen Morgan, aunt, Renn Wallingford Abrams, uncle, Marty Abrams, and cousin, Sarah Abrams.
A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 10:00am, at Memorial Bible Church (111 Old Stage Way, Yakima, WA 98908). A Funeral Service will immediately follow, at 11:00am. A Graveside Service will be held at West Hills Memorial Park. A Reception will follow at Fontaine Estates Winery.
