Todd Allen Bodden, 62, was born on September 5, 1962, in Theresa, Wisconsin, to Dorothy Havlik and David Lee Bodden. Todd passed suddenly, on April 8, 2025 in Longview, Texas.
A beloved husband, father, brother, and Pappy, Todd was a dedicated educator, mentor, and coach. He spent 34 years teaching high school math and coaching many young men both on the court and on the football field. Todd taught in several school districts including Waskom, Beckville and most recently, Tenaha. As it has been stated, Coach Bodden held his students and athletes to a high standard, always pushing them to be their very best.
Whether in the classroom or on the court, he expected integrity, hard work, and resilience. But beyond that, he made sure every student knew they were supported and cared for long after graduation, even into his retirement.
Todd graduated from Airline High School in Bossier City, Louisiana, in 1980. He attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas on a full basketball scholarship where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. While there, Todd formed many treasured friendships and enjoyed many successes on the basketball court. In 2006 he received his Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Stephen F Austin University.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Houston Hatcher. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky; daughters Brittany Bodden Lemoine (Chris) and Bailey Bodden Patty (Logan); his precious grandchildren, whom he invested much time and attention to, Christopher Louis Lemoine III (Tripp), John Luke Lemoine, Isabelle Marie Bernadette Lemoine, Crawford Allen Patty, and soon to enter this world, Jesse Geraldine Patty; his brothers, Steve Bodden, Tim Bodden and Stewart Bodden; and numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally left behind are Becky's sons, Jonathon Foster Adcock and Austin Everett Adcock (Callie), and grandchildren Charlotte May Adcock and Nora Everett Adcock.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025 at Grace Creek Church, 1500 West Hawkins Parkway, Longview, Texas. Following services interment will be held 3:30 pm at Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 US HWY 80 East, Haughton, LA.
