Todd Christopher Meadows, 61, of Hartford, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 12, 2024. Todd was born in Hartford, Connecticut. Son of the late Thomas L. Meadows Sr. and Elder Margaret (Thompson) Meadows-Allen, he attended and graduated from Plainville High School in 1980. Todd worked many of his younger years in the medical field (which he considered missionary work) and was fulfilled by helping people. In the last decade Todd was employed in a variety of security personnel positions, recently at Allied Universal Security Services until his retirement in November of 2022.
Todd was a loving and devoted father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He was a beacon of light with unwavering friendship and kindness, that has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Todd was a member of First Church of The Living God in Hartford, CT. under the leadership of Bishop Jesse J. White Jr. He was involved in various ministries, such as volunteering at the church Food Pantry. Todd used every season is his life to serve others and he tried to always lead with love and a smile. Todd's faith in God kept him through the adversities he had to go through in life, in which he said, "I have nothing to complain about. God's grace is sufficient and His will for my life is so good. GOD, DO WHAT YOU DO!"
Todd had many skills and talents that he explored in his free time. You could always catch him singing a tune or writing lyrics to a song about love or God. Fishing also brought so much joy to Todd that he would be up at the crack of dawn for the perfect fishing experience. Besides being an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Todd loved all forms of the arts from painting, drawing, cooking or watching a performance and just rocking out to the vibes of a band.
Todd leaves to cherish in his memory a daughter, Asia M. Meadows of New Britain; granddaughters, Kenya N. Johnson and Bailey M. Ledbetter of New Britain; stepfather, Richard E. Allen of Hartford; one brother, Tyrone S. Meadows Sr. and his wife Sandra of Windsor; a sister, Millicent L. Meadows of Hartford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Todd was predeceased by his brothers, Marvell A. Meadows and Thomas L. Meadows Jr.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 1:30-2:00 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 pm at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor
