Todd Alexander Potter

Todd A. Potter, a kind, generous and loving man passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 23, 2025 at his home, Potter's Pastures in Naples, Florida. Todd was born in Passiac, New Jersey on February 12, 1958 to Thomas and Elizabeth (Christie) Potter. He was the youngest of 3 boys and, a big brother to his 2 sisters.
Todd grew up on Bergen Avenue in Wanaque, New Jersey. He spent his days with his friends exploring the wooded areas, hunting and fishing. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School. In his late teens, he took up carpentry. He was a natural artist, doing jobs from siding on houses to building homes and businesses. In 1995, he re-located to Marco Island, Florida as a shop foreman for a millwork business. EJH Cabinets saw his work, and lured him away. He created beautiful, custom kitchens, baths and outdoor kitchens for homeowners and various builders on the Island. Later, he opened his own shop in Naples, which he operated for several years before his cancer diagnosis. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees (never missed a game) and the Miami Dolphins. Todd enjoyed travelling, fishing in the Florida Keys and going 'up country' to the Catskills.
Todd leaves his wife of 26 years Janis Potter and his son Jared. He leaves his two sisters, his niece Rachel DeSpain, his cousin Martha Christie-Patrick and her children Courtney Patrick and Julianne Patrick. Todd also leaves his Scarlet Macaw, Bonnie. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Jeffrey and Scott, his step-son Josh Potter, nephew Scott Potter Jr. and his beloved horse, Officer Spotless.
Todd will be greatly missed by all that knew him. His family would like to thank Drs. Attilo Palma and Todd Pezzi for the care they provided during Todd's journey, as well as the nurses and staff at Florida Cancer, Physician's Regional and Avow Hospice.
