Todd Wilhite Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home - Boone on Dec. 11, 2025.
Todd Alan Wilhite, 59, of Boone, Iowa, passed away at State Center Specialty Care in State Center, Iowa, on Saturday, December 6, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1965, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of James and Hellen (Trask) Wilhite.
Todd was a graduate of Boone High School. After graduation, he attended DMACC, where he took courses in Criminal Justice. He then worked and drove for Decker Trucking for years, which he loved. He worked for Decker Trucking until he was no longer able to work due to health complications.
Todd was a lifelong NASCAR fan. He didn't miss many races. He found joy in watching races when he was moved to the nursing home. His dad would call him whenever there was a race on, so he could enjoy them. He loved racing in general and would always try to attend local races. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes. They were a family divided with ISU and Iowa fans, but Todd always stayed with Iowa. He also enjoyed watching and following the Steelers. Todd was one of those guys who would help anyone in need. He always looked after his sister, Tori. He loved cats and always had one in his home. He would turn into a big teddy bear around them.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Trask) Wilhite.
Todd is survived by his father, Jim Wilhite of Boone, Iowa; sister, Tori Wilhite of Boone, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Mason City, Iowa; his ex-wife; three stepsons; and several grandchildren, as well as many friends who saw Todd as family.
