Tollison A Beames

Tollison Aaron Beames, took off for the final hunting and fishing trip beyond the veil late on March 24, 2023. Tollison, known as Tolly, was born on Jan 27, 1939 in the thriving metropolis of Virgin, UT (estimated population 150) to Blueford Tollison Beames and Malissa Mary Flanagan.
He was all state in football, baseball and track, loved to fix and race cars, and went on to get a bachelor's degree of manufacturing engineering from Weber State University and a Master's of Business Management from University of Phoenix.
He spent his career first at Sperry Univac, then at Ford, and finally at Thiokol. In 1963 he married his sweetheart, Judy Turner. They had 60 happy, wonderful years together, raised six high energy children, and have 34 grandchildren (including their spouses) and 11 great-grandchildren. He served as Cub Master, Executive Secretary for his Ward, and young Men's Leader in his wards in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed his time as a member of the Willard Lion's Club, and often volunteered for the Lion's sponsored Willard Easter Egg Hunts and Willard Fourth of July Celebrations and actively supported his community and neighbors.
Tolly always made time to rescue and protect his family and fix their cars, help resolve their problem situations, and mend their houses and hearts. Quiet and thoughtful, he focused efforts on his family and their well-being, while also enjoying hunting, fishing, swap meets with John, movies with friends, driving fast cars, talking with neighbors and friends, and picking up rocks. He loved the time he was able to spend with his brother's family elk hunting and fishing in Scofield, the fun both families had in their fifth wheel trailers at "trailer alley", and later with his nephew in Alaska. He loved the family trips and dinners with Rasmussens. He was a master of such famous family one-liners as "close the door or the mosquitoes will get out and starve to death" and "see ya' in the spring if the water's clear." He will never be far from the thoughts and hearts of his family and friends. We will miss him and hear his one liners in our minds, but we know he is well set for the life awaiting him on the other side.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Turner Beames and his six children (and their spouses), James (and Shauna), Curtis (and Teri), Heidi (no spouse), Johanna (and Todd) Rachel (and Lance), and Charles (and Hayley), as well as 34 grandchildren (including their spouses) and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger brother Wade Everett Beames and his sister-in-law Karen, their four children (Tolly's niece and nephews), their spouses and children. He is also survived by his niece Linda Beames Lee and his nephew Steven Beames, his brother Blueford's children. His swap meet and car auction partner, John Riley, remains on this side of the veil to carry on the swap meet and car auction traditions.
He was preceded by his older brother, Blueford Beames, his mother Malissa Mary Flanagan, and his father Blueford Tollison Beames as well as his cousin and cohort in many an escapade Leroy Matthews and his good friend and adopted family Ray Rasmussen. We know they will have a joyous reunion on the other side of the veil. For those remaining on this side of the veil, we welcome you to join us for Services for Tolly on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Willard 2nd Ward, 7615 S. 665 W., Willard, Utah. Viewing will be at the church from 11:00AM to 12:30 PM on April 3, 2023.
Interment will be in the Willard Precinct Cemetery.
