He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Newton Kent and Hazel Kent.
Tom was a very active person and accomplished his goals when he set them. He enjoyed classic cars and was at one time the President of the local car club.
He is survived by his wife of seventy three years, Barbara Kent; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Joan Kent of Shelby Township, MI; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Marge Kent of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren, David Kent, Amanda Kent and Stephanie Kent.
The memorial funeral services will be held in Missouri at a later date.
