Tom Morgan Obituary

Tom B. Morgan Jr. was born on November 23, 1938, in Hobart, OK, to Tom and Minnie Morgan. He

passed from this life on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Tom graduated from Hobart High School in 1957. He then attended Southwestern State University and

earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1961. Tom served in the Air National Guard.

Tom married the love of his life, Miss Earlene Lamirand, in 1963 in Mountain View, OK. Tom & Earlene

lived in Lubbock, Texas, then moved to Moore, OK, where they have lived for the past 57 years.

While in Lubbock, he worked for Raff & Hall Pharmacy. After working there for 3 years, he moved his

family to Moore, OK. He worked for Star Pharmacy before opening up Tom's Prescription Center in 1970.

After owning his own pharmacy for over 20 years, he went to work for Integris Southwest Hospital. Tom

worked as a pharmacist in a career that spanned over 50 years, before retiring in 2006.

Tom loved to fish, especially fly fishing in Colorado. He also enjoyed gardening, spending time with his

family, and serving in his church.

He was strong in his Christian faith and loved his church. He could be found on dozens of hot summer

days out in the church parking lot spraying the weeds. Tom and Earlene supported any and every church

project that has happened at the church for over 50 years of membership. Tom taught 3rd-grade Sunday

School and served on many committees.

He loved his family. He always lovingly referred to Tom, Earlene, Bebe, & Liesl as the "Originals," and

always enjoyed the four of them spending time together. He loved the son-in-laws, and then came the

grandkids! He cherished Braden and Jordy, never missing a sporting event. When Braden & Nicole were

married, it goes without saying that Tom was their biggest supporter. His great-granddaughter, Blair, was

born last year, and she has been such a blessing! She could make him smile at any moment, even when

he wasn't feeling well lately.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Minnie Morgan and in-laws, Earl & Ruby Lamirand.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Earlene, of the home. Two daughters, Belinda & Greg King of

Moore, OK. Liesl & Kent Bowles of Norman, OK. Grandchildren, Braden & Nicole Bowles of Edmond, OK.

Jordyn Bowles of Edmond, OK. And a great-granddaughter, Blair Morgan Bowles of Edmond, OK. Brother

& sister in-laws, Jim & Ann Holland of Springdale, AR. Nieces & nephews, Heath & Jeannette, Brady &

Taeh Holland of Basehor, KS. David & Krista, Reese, Cole, Leah, & Kate Merriman of Claremore, OK.

Ryan & Lisa, Brooke Holland of Springdale, AR.

A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Moore, OK at 1 pm on Thursday, July

31, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Moore or the Oklahoma Alzheimer's Association.
