Melissa Goodson Melissa Brown Goodson passed away July 5, 2025, in Moore, Oklahoma at age 47. She was born on February 20, 1978, in Oklahoma City to parents Bobby and Terri Brown. Melissa was a vibrant, loving, and spirited woman who embraced life with joy and passion. She had a deep love for all things purple, a reflection of her bold personality and unique style. A true creative at heart, Melissa enjoyed home decorating. She always found a way to make any space feel beautiful and welcoming. She cherished her self-care moments at the nail salon. Melissa loved singing and dancing, bringing energy and laughter into every room she entered. A dedicated, hard worker who had HUSTLE, known for her outgoing spirit and warm heart. Melissa cultivated a wide circle of friends who remember her warm spirit and infectious laugh. She was always there for those she loved, offering support, a listening ear, and a comforting presence. Her white Tahoe was more than just a vehicle, it was a symbol of her independent, fun-loving nature. Melissa was always trendy and stylish. She adored spending sunny days at the lake. Most of all, she loved having her grandbabies over for sleepovers and teaching them how to cook. Together they made many precious memories. Mexican food was one of her favorite indulgences, often shared during time with loved ones. Melissa NEVER met a corn tortilla that she didn't like!
Above all, Melissa's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her two sons, Caden and Colby, who were the center of her world. Her greatest joys were her beloved "grandbabies," Kai and Kynleigh Brown who brought immeasurable light and happiness into her life. Spending time with them was her absolute favorite blessing in her life. She loved making memories with them and those memories made her days better. Melissa loved hanging out with her sister Kala, feeling young and carefree. They would reminisce about the old days and having spa days and sleepovers. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Ben, who was truly her "ride or die." Melissa's light, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Melissa is survived by her sons Caden and Colby Brown, daughter-in-law Korea, grandsons Kai and Kynleigh Brown, siblings Tamber Stocker of Auburn, WA, Robert Brown of Moore, OK, and best friend, Kala Beard-Ree.
