Tom Peeples Jr.

Mr. Thomas "Tom" Peeples, Jr., age 81, of Chatsworth, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at his home with his three children by his side.
Tom lived in Chatsworth most of his life. He graduated from Murray County High School in 1961. He attended North Georgia College and then transferred to the University of Georgia. He worked several different jobs from insurance, to a car salesman, then went to work for his brother Carlton, at Carlton's Pharmacy in 1974. He purchased the store from Carlton when he retired on October 1, 1997. He had a heart of compassion to help and serve others, and would go out of his way to do so. Tom was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go on hunting adventures with family members and good friends. He loved to chase those turkeys! He loved his family, friends, community, God, and his country very much. Tom was a member of Chatsworth First Methodist Church. He also had the best sense of humor and could often be found telling his favorite jokes. Tom was loved by everyone. He will especially be missed by his loving family, special friends, the staff at Carlton's Pharmacy, and our community.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cindy Peeples; parents, Thomas Peeples, Sr. and Jennie Peeples; sisters, Joan Leonard and Jane Colbert.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Melodie Peeples Burger and Calvin Burger, Daniel and Terran Peeples, and Melinda Peeples Smith and Jason Smith; grandchildren and their spouses, Lacey Burger, Ross and Amy Burger, Landon and Jillian Hansird, Luke Smith, Jordan Smith, Jett Smith, Jade Smith, Jase Peeples, and Crew Peeples; brother and sister-in-law, Carlton and Betty Peeples; sister, Ruth Woods; many nieces, nephews, and wonderful, loving friends also survive.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Tom Peeples, Jr. will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Graham Arp and Rev. Dwight Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Hills Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
