Connie Peeples Obituary
Funeral services for Connie Ruth Peeples, 88, will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Rose-Neath. Officiating will be Associate Pastor of Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene, Danny Rester.
Connie was born June 26, 1937 in Shreveport to Conway and Lila Ferguson and passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in Shreveport.
She graduated from Nursing School on June 3, 1959 before marrying Eugene "Birdie" Peeples on June 6, 1959. After their Galveston honeymoon, she began a career as a Registered Nurse in the Willis Knighton Health System where she took care of patients for over 40 years. Connie was a member of Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene and loved to play with the children and babies of the church.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sally Faust; and brother, Selby Ferguson. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Eugene "Birdie" Peeples; son, Duane "Scott" Peeples and wife, Angie; daughter, Kristy Smith; grandchildren, Cole Peeples, Caleb Peeples, Suzanna Smith, Danny Carthwood; and one great-grandson, Holden Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and friends.
Honoring Connie as pallbearers will be Scott Peeples, Cole Peeples, Caleb Peeples, Danny Carthwood, Richard James, and Gary Smith.
Connie will be terribly missed by her family but they will continue to love her and cherish her memory.
