Tommie Ruth Larson

Tommie Ruth Larson, 91, passed away May 2, 2023 at the Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born January 19, 1932 to Tom M. and Ethel (Lawson) Hooten at their home in Whitehead Township, Oklahoma.
Tommie was raised on her parent's farm in rural Oklahoma, and later took a job at the local phone company where she met her first husband, Charlie Comstock. They were married in 1951 and moved to Hutchinson, KS where Charlie worked at Cessna and Tommie worked for Southwestern Bell as a phone switchboard operator. Charlie died in 1972. Tommie continued to work for the phone company until her retirement in 1981. During that time Tommie met and married Carl Larson of Hutchinson. They were married for 10 years until Carl died in 1983.
Tommie was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charlie; second husband Carl; her brother, JR; and sisters, Peggy, June, and Ola.
Tommie is survived by her step-daughters, Pam (Curt) Gough and Sharon Moore of Pleasant Hill, MO, Beth Larson of Twisp, WA, and Eileen Larson of Lawrence, KS; eleven step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Tommie's family will have a graveside memorial and burial alongside her first husband, Charlie Comstock, will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday June 8, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements
