Tommy Baity

Mr. John Thomas “Tommy” Baity, 87, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was born September 10, 1937 to the late John Henry Baity and Flora Dalton Baity. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Janet Reavis, and Lillian Morris; grandchildren, Jake Thomas Baity I, Jake Thomas Baity II, Angel Briana Stone, Chloe Danyelle Stone, Tucker Lee Keaton, and Asher Hill. Mr. Baity served in the United States Army, he was an active member of Courtney Baptist Church and he was a member of Courtney Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Charlotte Miller Baity; children, Tim (Julia) Baity, Ted (Lorie) Baity, Cindy (Michael) Stone; grandchildren, Hannah (Cody) Keaton, Caleb (Kim) Baity, Jessica (Lee) Wright, Jennifer (Kaleb) Hill, Michaela Stone (fiancé, Ian Hein); great-grandchildren, Abigail Keaton, Annamae Keaton, Catherine Baity, Matthew Baity, Oliver Wright, Maverick Wright, Charlotte Hill; his brother, Kenneth (Linda) Baity. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Courtney Baptist Church. Mr. Baity’s funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM with Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Courtney Baptist Church Recreation Building Fund, 3341 Courtney Church Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
