Tommy Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wiley Funeral Home - Granbury on Dec. 17, 2025.
Tommy Davis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and adventure.
Visitation with Tommy's family will be held from 9:30 until 10:30, Friday morning, December 19, at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East in Granbury. A memorial service celebrating Tommy's life will follow at 10:30, Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Born on June 9, 1936, in Santa Anna, Texas, to Alton and Louise Davis, Tommy's early life was spent on various ranches and farms across West Texas, where he was taught a strong work ethic.
In 1959, Tommy answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Army. He served in the 543rd Quartermaster Group and was stationed in Germany during the pivotal moment when the Berlin Wall was erected.
Less than ninety days after meeting the love of his life, Carol, he married her on March 15, 1963. Their bond was immediate and profound and they were rarely apart for the next 62 years, sharing a lifetime of love and partnership.
A true entrepreneur, Tommy, alongside Carol, built and operated Snyder Janitorial Supply from 1965 until their retirement in January 2001. Their hard work and dedication made the business a cornerstone of the community.
In 2001, Tommy and Carol relocated to Granbury, Texas, where joined the team at Bennett's RV as a salesperson. With his extensive knowledge of the RV lifestyle, he took great joy in helping countless families begin their own adventures on the open road. This passion for exploration led Tommy and Carol to become full-time RVers in 2005. For over a decade, they traveled the country, making friends wherever they went and creating a vast network of cherished relationships.
Tommy's faith was a central part of his life. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Snyder, Texas, and later, the First United Methodist Church in Granbury, Texas. He served in numerous leadership roles and on committees dedicating his time and talents to his church community. Additionally, Tommy was a past Master Mason of Scurry County Lodge 706.
Above all, Tommy took immense pride in his family. He and Carol created a lifetime of memories with their children and grandchildren, embarking on tremendous adventures across the country in their RV. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Carol Davis; his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Scott Berry of Granbury, Texas; his son, Terry Davis of Fort Worth, Texas; his granddaughter, Katherine Berry of Granbury, Texas; and his granddaughter, Lauren Berry Weitzer, and her husband, Grant Weitzer, of Haslet, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, David Blassingame of Walnut Creek and Bobby Ward of Crandall.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Louise Davis, and his sisters-in-law, Emma Lea Ward and Judy Blassingame.
