Thomas F. Gangemi, Jr., known affectionately as Tommy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home in Marlton, New Jersey, on September 14, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on May 28, 1967, in Philadelphia, PA, Tommy was a man whose warmth and humor brought light into the lives of all who knew him. He originally resided in the Kensington Section of Philadelphia, before the family settled in Marlton.
Tommy was predeceased by his father, Thomas F. Gangemi, his maternal grandparents, Charles and Claire McCormick, his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Ruth Gangemi, and his uncle George Walker. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his devoted mother, Claire Gangemi nee Walker, and his loving siblings, Jimmy Gangemi, Karen Watson (Bob), Michael Gangemi (Jessica), and Melissa Gangemi (Bryan). Tommy was also a special uncle to Andrew and Katie Watson, and he held a dear place in the hearts of his aunts and uncles, Chal McCormick (Joan), Karen O'Boyle (Chris), Mike McCormick, and John McCormick, as well as his many cousins.
Tommy was a proud graduate of Cherokee High School, Class of 1985. In his professional life, Tommy worked as a bartender for many years, most recently at The Mansion in Voorhees. His ability to remember a face and a favorite drink, paired with his ever-present smile, made him a beloved figure in the local community.
Tommy's passions extended beyond his work. He was an avid golfer, finding joy and solace on the greens. A true Philadelphia sports enthusiast, Tommy's dedication to the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers was unwavering. Win or lose, he stood by his teams with the same loyalty and spirit he showed to his friends and family.
Above all, Tommy valued the time he spent with his family. Whether it was a backyard barbecue, a holiday gathering, or a simple phone call to catch up, he invested his time and love generously. His great sense of humor was his gift to those around him, ensuring that laughter was a constant presence in their lives.
Tommy's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will continue to inspire laughter, courage, and kindness.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Monday, September 22, 2025, at The Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 S. and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Saint Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, New Jersey.
