Tommy Jones Obituary
Tommy Samuel Jones, age 59, of Gastonia, went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2023. He was born on June 27, 1963 to the late Glory Ann (Walker) Jones and Roy Lee Jones of Gaston County. In addition to his parents, Tommy was also preceded in death by his siblings, Michael Jones, Roger Jones, and Ruth Jones. He was a long time employee of Platinum Coatings and loved welcoming friends and family into his home and taking vacations or long drives to nowhere. He enjoyed trips to the beach and mountains, loved old classic cars, a NASCAR fan, and a Dale Earnhart fan.
Tommy was loved by many and is survived by partner, Barbara Davis; children, Steven (Anne) Jones, Tiffany (James) Fackler, Bryant Akers, and David Akers; grandchildren, Scarlett and Willa Jones, Samuel and Brayden Fackler, Nick and Skylar Akers, and Hannah Akers; sisters, Ginger (Thad) Lowe, Betty Jones, and Denise Black; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Levine Cancer Center for thier excellent care during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 7845 Little Ave., Charlotte, NC 28226.
