Covington, Georgia - Tommy A. Pritchett, age 84 of Covington, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. A Memorial Service was held at 3 pm, on Sunday, January 11, 2026 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The family received friends from 2 pm to 3 pm prior to the service. The family had a visitation from 1 pm to 1:45 pm, at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Friday, January 16, 2026 in Columbus, GA. A Graveside Service was at 2 pm, in Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. Tommy was a Lt. Col. and Green Beret in the U.S. Army, serving as a Pilot during Vietnam. He continued flying as a hobby on his personal airstrip in Covington, GA. Tommy retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. He was an avid car collector and loved his family and friends very much. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Fletcher and Iona (Williams) Pritchett; siblings, Thelma Rachels, Velma Geiger, Roy Pritchett, Doug Pritchett, Hayward Pritchett, Rex Pritchett, Harold Pritchett and Ed Pritchett. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Lea Pritchett; granddaughter, Paige Olivia Cortiss; great-grandsons, Hudson Cortiss and Henry Cortiss; close family friend, Debra Okun; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
