Tommy Sands, Jr. Obituary
Tommy Sands, Jr., age 85, peacefully passed away on July 27, 2024. He was born in North Carolina on August 23, 1938. Tommy is the devoted husband of Doris Sands; beloved father of Stephen Sands; loving father of Barbara Agee (and her husband Tommy); caring grandfather of Tim Wright and Josh Wright; dear great-grandfather of Reagan Wright, Sydney Wright, Henry Wright, Xander Wright, Josie Wright, and Brady Dillon; cherished brother of the late Jack Sands.
Tommy worked for BGE for 28 years as a delivery driver, retiring in 1994 and then driving for a messenger service until 2002. Tommy was active in the Lansdowne VFW Post for many years, serving as Post Commander from 2004 - 2010. Tommy was introduced later in life to playing golf by his son and instantly became hooked. He loved playing as much as possible until he couldn't anymore.
Family and friends may gather at Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Wednesday, July 31 from 2:00-4:00pm. A Funeral Service will begin at 4:00pm.
