Tommye Lou Cutrer, 92, died peacefully on January 19, 2025 at her home in McComb, MS.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 at McComb First Assembly of God from 5 PM until 7 PM, then a graveside service to be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11 AM at Hollywood Cemetery. Rev. Mack Bryant and Rev. Jim Dalton will officiate. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Tommye Lou was born on June 27, 1932 to Thomas Lewis Simpson and Velma J. Hughes in Quitman, MS. She enjoyed sports in school and graduated from Fernwood High School in 1950. She married her high school sweetheart, Shelby "Peanut" Cutrer and they had four children.
Tommye was a postmaster for thirty-five years at the Post Office in Fernwood, MS and she served as a Pink Lady at Southwest Regional Medical Center after her retirement. She was a devout believer in Jesus Christ and a member of McComb First Assembly of God in McComb, MS where she serviced many years in ministry as secretary and treasurer. Tommye Lou was generous, witty, and loved to explore new places. She cherished time spent with her family, and she leaves us with many happy memories.
She was preceded in death by her son, Shelby Don Cutrer, brothers Bennett Simpson and Maurice Simpson, and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Shelby "Peanut" Cutrer, daughters Vicky Pattie (Lane), Sandra Foster (Andrew), and Cristy Cutrer (Paul), grandchildren Jeremy Pattie, Derrick Pattie, Zach Pattie (Jennifer), Kassie Boyd (Rocky), Taylor Foster (Lindsey), Shelby Green, Hailey Jones, great-grandchildren Ezra and Ella Pattie, Adda Laine, Ann Farris, Parks Thomas Pattie, Payton Boyd (Kaymie), and Kacen Green, sister-in-law Jeanette Simpson, nieces and nephews Thomas Simpson (Alyce) and family, Billy Simpson, and Mark Simpson(Darla) and family.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Pattie, Derek Pattie, Zach Pattie, Taylor Foster, Rocky Boyd, Payton Boyd, and Kacen Green.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to McComb First Assembly of God in McComb, MS.
