Toni Clara Bolla

Toni Clara Bolla, 71, of Harrisonburg, VA passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at her residence.
She was born on August 10, 1954 in California and was the daughter of the late Joseph Bolla and Helen Julia Sapiega Bolla.
Toni enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a trauma nurse for five years. After her service, she remained passionate about veteran affairs and activities. After her military service she continued working as a nurse for 15 years until her retirement in 2001. She found enjoyment in meeting new people and helping her community. She loved to read, visit the beach, go fishing, watch movies and spend time with her grandchildren. Toni lived a simple life and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving family members include a son, Edward Thrasher, Jr.; two daughters, Melissa Bolla-Townsend and Michelle Bolla; four grandchildren, Kambri Bolla, Kheydin Bolla, Abel Bolla, and Danna Townsend; one great-grandson, Joseph Mylo Simmons and beloved dog, Copper.
In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney McCauley.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
