Toni L. Rhoten, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at Community Hospital South following a brief illness. She was born January 29, 1952 in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Joanne (Ward) Tresatti.
A graduate of Warren Central High School, Toni was an animal lover in general, but she adored dogs and elephants. She also loved flower gardening, growing houseplants, mushroom hunting, fishing and camping, and the color purple. She and her husband, Curtis were avid beekeepers and member of Indy Southside Beekeepers.
For many years, she was self employed as a personal housekeeper. She was an excellent cook, especially recipes from her Italian heritage.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of nearly 38 years, Curtis W. Rhoten of Indianapolis; a son, Cody (Tabitha) Rhoten of Spencer; a step-daughter, Jeannie Stone of Columbus; grandchildren, Carter Anthony Rhoten, Ronan Rhoten, Brianna, William, and Tessa Stone; step-grandchildren, Elijah and Jordan; siblings, Tom Tresatti, Nancy Scuccimarri, Anthony Tresatti, Nicholas Tresatti Jr., Cherylynn Tresatti, Matthew Tresatti, Louis Tresatti, all of Pittsburgh, PA area, and Terri Mouser of St. Petersburg, FL; mother in law, Linda Jones of Greenfield; brothers and sisters in law, Terri Lowry (Ken Lang) of Crawfordsville, and Cindy (Kevin) Brown of New Castle; many nieces and nephews; and her fur babies, Iris, Fiona, and Wallace.
Services will be at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service-Greenwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
