Tonnette Hord, 64, of Jefferson City, died February 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born November 17, 1959, in Jefferson City, Missouri.
She graduated from Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, Missouri. Tonnette was employed with Chesebrough Ponds, now Unilever Home & Personal Care, for over 20 years and later with Genco Return Center for 15 years in various positions.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother: Dorothy Hord, of Pleasant Hill, her daughter: Shaquaita Hord, of Jefferson City; sisters: Jackie Hord and Lisa Porter of Jefferson City; her brothers: Donald Hord (Stephanie) of Pleasant Hill, Sam Porter of Jefferson City, and Anthony Porter (Lisa) of Fulton; her two grandsons: Devon Hord and Ivory Warmack of Jefferson City; her four nephews: Deewayne Hord, DuJuan Hord, Daymeond Hord, and DJ Hord; three nieces: Mitisha Blunt, Dawneshia Hord, and Daishia Hord.
She was preceded in death by her sister: Ava Hord, two brothers: Arnold "Kilar" Hord and James Hord, her grandmother: Dorothy Hawkins, and her aunt: Jose Alexander.
The family would like to thank Ann Davis, Lynn Roundtree, and Mattie Chambers for their constant hospital visits during Tonnette's stay.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
