Tony Badillo

Tony Badillo, 55, passed away May 16, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, May 22, 2023, at Vega Church of Christ, 609 9 St.
Tony was born on September 16, 1967, to Abel Badillo and Melinda Badillo. Tony graduated from Vega High School in 1986 and attended Amarillo College. Tony lived and worked in several places before moving back to his hometown and furthering his education to pursue his nursing degree. Tony had a passion for nursing and devoted his life to providing exceptional care to his patients and being a positive mentor for others he worked with and those choosing to follow the same career path. Tony was a caring, selfless, devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was known to all who knew him for his kindness and giving nature, his humor and easy-going spirit, and his willingness to go above and beyond for those in need. Tony did not have any children, but he was an amazing "father" to his fur babies, Chelsea, Lucy, Ellie Mae, and Jed. There was nothing he would not do to make sure they were given the most loving home and spoiled to their, and his, absolute content.
Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cruz and Francisca Badillo, and maternal grandparents, Macedonio and Candelaria Carrillo.
He is survived by his parents, Abel Badillo and Melinda Badillo, brothers Richard Badillo, Eddie Badillo and wife Robin, Frank Badillo and wife Marla, and sister Diana Badillo, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
