Tony Groves Obituary

Tony was born in Springfield, TN on February 15, 1944, to Edgar and Nellie Mae Groves. He grew up fishing and hunting in the hills and woods of Tennessee, where he spent most of his life. As a driving enthusiast, he loved riding along country roads and drag racing on the weekends. At night, he was the best two-stepper around, dancing to country music, his favorite artist being George Strait. Most of all, Tony loved spending time with his family and friends. He is already deeply missed by them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Bond Groves and Nellie Mae Groves; And sister, Diane Flatt.
Tony is survived by his brother, Danny Lee Groves; Children, Sherry Lynn Forster (Anson Wright), Amanda Ball (Rob Ball), and Tony E. Groves; Granddaughters, Morgan Ryan Underwood (Colten), Dahlia Logan Groves, and Stella Ball; Great-grandchildren, Colson Reed Underwood and Camden Ryan Underwood; And many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 22nd at 2pm, at Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church, 100 Highland Circle Drive, Portland, Tn 37148 with Les Flatt officiating.
