Tony Hand (PPT) 63, of Collingdale, passed away Monday, July 3,2023 peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Born May 14, 1960 in Collingdale, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his daughters Ashleymarie and Antoinette Hand; Grandchildren Selenamarie Cannon, Gabrielle and Sophia Schappel; Brother Roy Mcclintock; Sisters Rene Mcclintock, Desiree Mcclintock; Many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his Grandmother Mary Angelo (Angelucci); Mother Helen Tagliaferri; Father Edward Hand; Sister Antonia 'Sissy' Hand Tozer; Grandson Angel Ian Schappel.
Tony was a loving father to Ashleymarie and Antoinette Hand. He was a devoted grandfather to Selenamarie, Gabrielle and Sophia. Tony was a one-of-a-kind friend with a heart of gold. Tony always knew how to light the room up when he walked in. Best known for his wild times and crazy sense of humor, all with a drink in hand. Tony lived life to the fullest, he was the man who lived with no fear.
Raised by his Grandmother Mary in Collingdale, on Wayne Avenue, with his late sister Antonia 'Sissy' Tozer. Tony was a 1978 graduate of Collingdale Highschool. He was number 62 on the Collingdale football team. He loved to box and was one hell of a fighter- in and out of the ring. He worked as a cement finisher his whole life.
Throughout life Tony always had a passion for sports. He loved coaching his daughter Antoinette's softball team. Tony loved to play tennis and go fishing, even riding his bike to Wildwood. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He relaxed by sitting outside, listening to music and having a smoke. You could put Tony anywhere and he'd make friends. He would have everyone laughing to tears. Some of his favorite times were spent going out with his best friends. Most of all, Tony loved his f*&#ing beers and double shot of Jack Daniel's.
Tony last lived with his daughter Ashley and granddaughter Selenamarie. He adored his granddaughter and loved watching her swimming meets, cheerleading competitions, and boxing training. His granddaughter gave him the nick name PPT, short for Pop-pop Tony, ever since then he was known in the neighborhood as PPT. He also loved play fighting with granddaughter Gabrielle. He loved spending holidays at his sister, Sissy's house – which usually ended with him getting kicked out and going to Denny, Funch, or late friend Steve Bytheway's house... or sneak to the bar with Rob McCabe. As Tony always said TTS for life. Tony also always said "I'm the baddest motherf*&#@r in Delaware County", and that he is. There was nothing Tony couldn't handle. He always lived in the moment.
Tony Hand is so loved and will be deeply missed.
May he rest in peace.
