Tony Lee "Rudd" Ruddick, 71 of Seymour passed away at home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. He was born May 23, 1954 in Seymour to Donald Lee and Carolyn M. Johnson Ruddick. Living in Seymour all of his life, he graduated from Seymour High School, class of 1972. He worked on cars since he was young. He worked at Don's Auto Repair until retiring in 2020. He worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts for the last 5 years.
Rudd was a member of Abate of Indiana, Seymour Chapter where he served as President. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Seymour. He was an avid wearer of Converse shoes. He wore black converse daily and for special occasions that called for "dressing up", he wore red converse. He will always be remembered for making people laugh. That was his daily goal and he was happy he could brighten someone's day. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved working on and riding his Harley.
Rudd was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Toni Ruddick and his step-daughter, Carrrie Jackson.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Rhea of Seymour, step-son, Shannon (Jill) O'Neal of North Vernon, sisters, Debby (Tony) Cockerham of Seymour and Trina (Greg) Roark of Seymour, brother, Rick Ruddick of Comiskey, a very special sista, Stacie (Todd) Perry of Rosstown, Indiana, his grandchildren, Kaydee Ruddick, Hunter Taylor, Mason Street, and Serenity Gaskin as well as step grandchildren, Shea Hankins, Massey and Moses Jackson. Rudd is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held December 7, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Fraternal Order of Police, 1752 1st Avenue, Seymour. Please share memories and condolences at www.vossfuneralservice.com. Memorials may be given in Rudd's memory to Abate of Indiana.
