Tony Stallings, 57, of Norfolk, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025. He was born on January 17, 1968, to the late Wilbert and Lucille Stallings. Tony will be remembered most for his deep love of music, which filled his days with joy and brought warmth to those who knew him. He could often be heard coming down the street with music playing, a sound that brought smiles and reflected his vibrant spirit. In his earlier years, Tony played several musical instruments, including the trombone and percussion, showcasing his natural talent and passion for rhythm.

Tony graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he played varsity football and junior varsity basketball. He often enjoyed time at the recreation center in Bowling Park, where he made many friendships and lasting memories. Tony later lived in the Poplar Hall area, where he met many friends and built lifelong bonds. After high school, he attended trade school, where he acquired the skills that would shape his career and lifelong work ethic.

Throughout his career, Tony shared his many talents in the workplace. He worked at several places, including Sandler Foods, and later concluded his career at Marine Specialty Painting Inc. He was also a skilled forklift driver, known for his reliability and dedication, leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike. Skilled in bricklaying, construction, and even building houses, Tony was truly a jack of all trades. He also had a love for his vehicles, often reconstructing and improving them with the same care and detail he gave to all of his work.

Tony always helped others as much as he could. Whether through his skills, his time, or his presence, he gave freely and left a lasting mark on those around him.

He is survived by his children, Brittany Harris, Tashonna Thorne (Darryl Jr.), and Aaliyah Church; his siblings, Shirley Boucicaut (Harry), Wilbert Stallings (Jeanette), and James Stallings; and his beloved granddaughter, Naomi Thorne. Tony was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra Wade, Joyce Yancey and his brother, Larry Mills.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Birchwood Rehabilitation & Nursing, Sentara Hospice, and Gwendolyn Hallums, who cared for him faithfully until God called him home.

Beyond his career and hobbies, Tony's greatest pride was in his family and the relationships he nurtured. His kindness, laughter, and spirit of generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Those who knew Tony will also remember his words of faith and humility, as he often said, "That's the Lord's work!"
