Dr. Traci Carrano Jones, 50, of Evans, Colorado passed away on January 28, 2023 in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to Stephen and Gwendolyn (Myers) Carrano on January 2, 1973 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Traci attended Gar-Field High School in Virginia, before attending Northern Virginia Community College. After community college, she attended Mary Washington University in Virginia where she received her bachelor's degree. She continued her education by receiving her master's degree from University of Rockies and completing her PHD from Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Traci loved music and painting. She loved helping others. Above all, she loved and adored her family, especially her grandkids. Despite years of combating the adverse effect of her breathing, seeing, and hearing ailments she was the co-founder Trillium, a drop-in center helping people recover from Mental Health issues. She also founded Rise-Phoenix-Rise connecting emotional support therapy through animals to those in need. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Sadie (Travis) Moore; two grandkids, Auberon and Taliesin; her father Stephen Carrano; siblings, Marc (Carolyn) Carrano, Amy Carrano (Layne Evans), Laura Palmer, Thomas Carrano, and Samantha Varner; many nieces and nephews; and her boyfriend, George Waldrop.
Traci is preceded in death by her husband, Parker Jones IV; her daughter, Cassandra; and her mother, Gwendolyn.
Memorial contribution in Traci Carrano Jones' name can be made out to CureTBM, in care of Lighthouse Family Mortuary, 2525 W 16th Street #C, Greeley, Colorado, 80634.

So sorry to hear of Traci's passing. She was such a courageous soul in so many different ways. Didn't get a chance to know her for very long, but she definite left a lasting impression.

You are missed and loved Traci. I will never forget that Christmas Eve when you and I were hand making gifts for those we loved and decided in the midst of it all to make pretzels. We were tired, hungry and couldn't stop laughing through the whole messy process. The pretzels ended up looking like lumps but instead of crying we kept laughing. I think that is what I will miss most about you, your tenacity and resiliency and never wanting to give up. I love you. To family and friends I am so sorry for your loss and may you find peace.
