Traute Emma Orth, 86, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born in Berlin, Germany, on February 13, 1939, daughter of the late Franz and Anna (Bengel) Wirzberger. Traute was united in marriage to the late Beryle John Orth. During her working years, Traute worked in tech photography. She belonged to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germany.
Traute enjoyed reading, classical music and traveling. She loved nature, wood, rocks and animals, especially dogs and cats. She was an active member of Friends of the Library in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
Above all, Traute dearly loved her family. She cherished her role as a devoted mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, sharing an especially close bond with her son, Frank. She loved the United States and was very patriotic.
Traute is survived by her son, Frank Orth; daughter-in-law, Tanja Orth; and granddaughter, Lisa-Marie Orth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Werner Wirzberger.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
