Travis Lee Bethel was born April 27, 1971 in Columbia, Missouri, to Troy Bethel, Sr. and Janice Faye Johnson. He departed this life Friday, July 11, 2025 in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of fifty-four years, two months and fourteen days.
Travis was raised in Lebanon and worked alongside his father, rebuilding automotive parts. He later worked in the salvage yard that was owned by his family. The past two years, Travis has been employed at Copeland in Lebanon.
He was a member at Community Baptist Church.
Travis is preceded in death by his mother, Janice Johnson; his brother, Troy Bethel, Jr.; a baby son; his maternal grandparents, Everett and Mary Jane Johnson; his paternal grandfather, Eugene Bethel; and his niece, Kara Dawn Williams.
He is survived by his children, Tyler Bethel, Ally Bethel and Alleah Bethel, all of Lebanon, Missouri; father, Troy Bethel, Sr. and his significant other Annette Ivey of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Janie Lillard and her husband Philip of Lebanon, Missouri, Charity Johnson and her significant other Paul Kavanaugh of Stoutland, Missouri and Trabecca Bethel of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Ryan Bethel and Dane Bethel, both of Lebanon, Missouri; his grandson, Tucker Miles Bethel; his grandmother, Estia Arnold of Lebanon, Missouri and his fiancée, Jeanie Rogers of Lebanon, Missouri.
Travis enjoyed being outdoors and went fishing whenever he had the chance. He was a big family man and looked forward to being with his family and friends for BBQ's and liked playing games. Travis was a Kansas City Chiefs football fan and was very excited to watch them win the Super Bowl. He even had a KC Chiefs flag on his forklift at work. Travis loved working in his yard and always kept it looking nice. He loved working on projects, anything to make our lives better. He loved working. If there was money to be made, he was in. He was funny, always joking around.
His family meant everything to him. Travis was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, and a friend to everyone. Travis didn't know a stranger. He would talk to anyone. He was such a happy guy. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
