In Loving Memory of Travis Kent Leany
December 16, 1974 – June 14, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Travis Kent Leany, who left this world far too soon on June 14, 2025.
Travis was born on December 16, 1974, in Cedar City, Utah, to Kent and Charlotte Leany, Travis brought light, laughter, and love into every life he touched.
Travis had a smile that could light up even the darkest of rooms, and his hugs, those unforgettable, all-encompassing bear hugs, left you feeling completely embraced and at peace. Just being near him brought a sense of comfort and safety. He radiated a deep joy for life, paired with a quick wit and a sense of humor that could lift anyone's spirits. Travis never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't talked to yet. His love for people was genuine, heartfelt, and always returned in kind.
A lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears, Travis never turned down a good football debate, especially if you dared to cheer for another team. His competitive spirit and quick wit made him the life of any gathering. He also had a passion for Bingo, and nothing brought him peace quite like riding his motorcycle his cherished "wind therapy."
Travis found joy in the simple things: spending time with his wife, daughters, brothers and family, hunting, fishing, golfing, and making memories that will be treasured forever.
In 1991, fate introduced Travis to Amie, the love of his life, at Seven Peaks Water Park. He was 17, she was 15, and from that moment on, their hearts were intertwined. High school sweethearts and soulmates, they married on February 11, 1995, and spent the next 30 years building a life rich in love, laughter, and shared dreams.
In 2000, Travis and Amie moved to Arcadia, California, where they spent a few years working and making cherished memories before returning to their Utah roots in 2002.
On April 18, 2003, they welcomed their first daughter, Arcadia Leany affectionately known as "Cadibug." The first grandchild in the Leany family, her arrival was a moment of pure joy for Travis, who would have moved heaven and earth for her.
Then, on August 3, 2006, they welcomed their son, Boston Gregory Leany, a beautiful baby boy with a gentle soul and angelic spirit. Although his time on earth was short, Boston's presence left an enduring mark on everyone who loved him. He returned to Heaven on December 12, 2006, and has remained close to his father's heart ever since.
Their family grew again on March 10, 2008, when their daughter Berlin Leany lovingly called "Birdie" was born. She brought renewed light and joy into their lives, filling their home with love once more.
Travis adored his girls Amie, Arcadia, and Berlin. They were his entire world. His love for his family was fierce, unwavering, and eternal.
Travis is survived by his beloved wife, Amie Nicol Leany; daughters Arcadia and Berlin Leany of Orem; Father Kent Marion Leany of Orem; and siblings Nickolous Batt Leany of American Fork, Lance and Ronnie Leany of Provo, and Saysha and Pedro Vazquez of Vineyard. Father and Mother-in-law, Dave and Diane Nicol of Orem, Sister-in-law Jill Nicol Jones of Lehi. Along with his Nieces and Nephews.
He now rejoins his beautiful son Boston Gregory Leany, his Mother Charlotte Batt and brother-in-law Gregory Douglas Nicol in eternal peace.
