Trent Joseph Pearson, 69, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Austin, Texas. He was born on May 28, 1954, in Houston, Texas. Trent was a graduate of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas. He earned a Master of Science in Environmental Safety and Bachelor of Environmental Science from Texas A&M University.
Trent worked as an environment, health, and safety manager in the construction and petroleum industries, and on large industrial projects. Trent's career gave him the opportunity to travel the world and master several languages, including Czech, Spanish, and Italian. Trent had a passion for learning. His many interests included genealogy/family ancestry, scuba diving, cooking, gardening, hunting, and polka dancing.
He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Bryan Elks Lodge BPOE #859.
Trent was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Thomas, and Nora Dell Pearson.
Survivors include his son, Aaron Michael (Mari) Gigout of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Denise (James) Schoppaul of South Padre Island, Texas, and Laurie (Joe David) Kilbourn of Raymondville, Texas; grandchildren, Mario Gigout and Jason Gigout; nieces, Schaeffer Schoppaul, Karsen Rowland, Krystin Kilbourn, and Lacey Birkelbach; nephew, Cody Kilbourn; and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in La Grange.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellinger, Texas with interment to follow in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 815 Saint Mary's Church Rd., Fayetteville, TX 78940, or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 207 E Bell St., Fayetteville, TX 78940.
