Patressia Ann Staton, affectionately known as Tressia, was a beacon of love and generosity in the Marlow community, touching the lives of many with her kindness and selflessness. Born on November 22, 1946, in Marlow, Oklahoma, Tressia was a lifelong resident who cherished her roots and the people who made up the fabric of her beloved town. After a life rich in experiences and love, Tressia passed away peacefully in Marlow, the very place that she was born, surrounded by the warmth of her family's love.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, with Brian Holland officiating. Burial will follow at the Marlow Cemetery, all arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, between the hours of 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Tressia's journey through life was marked by her devotion to family, friends, and faith. She was the beloved wife of Ernest Staton, with whom she shared a life full of joy and companionship since their marriage on July 30, 1989. Together, they built a beautiful life, centered around their family and their shared passions. Tressia's love for her family was immense, and she embraced every moment with her daughter Christi and her husband Randy Kinnamon, her cherished grandchildren Janae Jones of Fort Worth, Casey and Cassidy Kinnamon of Sequeira, TX, Tiffany Palmer, and her husband Zach Curry, and Jennifer Palmer. She was also the proud great-grandmother to Julius Jones and Chloe Palmer, whose youthful spirits brought her immeasurable happiness.

Tressia's legacy of love is carried on by her brother Chris Sparks and his wife Tammy of Bray, her sister-in-law Michelle Sparks of Sunnyvale, TX, and the entire Sparks family. She was preceded in death by her parents C.L. and Cubie Lee (Williams) Sparks, her son James Robert Palmer, her daughter Tammy Sue Palmer, and her brother Tommy D. Sparks, all of whom she held dear in her heart.

A proud graduate of Marlow Public Schools, Tressia furthered her education at Cameron University, where she honed her skills and passions. Her career as a hairdresser spanned many years, during which time she owned her own beauty salon and worked alongside her mother. Tressia's salon was more than a place for beauty; it was a sanctuary where friendships were forged, and support was freely given.

Tressia's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and her enduring spirit of giving. Her interests were varied and rich, reflecting her love for life and people. From raising not only her grandchildren but any child in need, to her love for gardening, painting, and crafts, Tressia embraced every opportunity to create beauty and joy in the world. Her caring nature extended to taking care of the sick, and she found great fulfillment in her work as a hairdresser, a role that allowed her to connect deeply with her community.

Those who knew Tressia will remember her as loving, generous, and selfless. Her life was a testament to the power of giving, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
