He was born at home on North Atlanta Place in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 30, 1939.

He spent his childhood with family in the country as often as he could or fishing with his dad and Ed Solomon.

He later met the love of his life, Barbara Maxine Mitchell. They went on a blind date. She graduated in May and the two lovebirds were hitched by December. Broke but in love, they lived with family until he graduated college.

His first job was at White Oak Public Schools where he taught science and drove a bus for 13 years.

In 1975 with his wife and kids in tow, they loaded up and moved to Bray, Oklahoma where unbeknownst to them where they would become family to numerous people including faculty, students, and students' families. They built their home right beside the school that he taught at until 1990, but drove the bus off and on while his grand and great-grands got the memory of riding the bus with Poppie.

After retirement he did a number of hobbies including his love for donkeys. He became everyone's Poppie and brought the best show and tells, taking them to the school with his donkey cart. In the summers, he'd go with the family and do his favorite pastime, fishing.

George was survived by his two daughters, Kim (Rick) Smith of Rush Springs and Karla Sanders of Marlow; grandchildren, Alana (Jamal) Minatee, Jason (Ashley) Smith, Leslie Owings, Robert (Amanda) Jensen, Clay Griggs, Robert (Clint) Kennedy, Daniel Brinkley, and Tammi Kolczyski; great-grandchildren, Emalee Gill, Devyn Gill, Creed Minatee, Hunter Smith, Hadley Smith, Kylie Owings, Elias Jensen, Kamron Griggs, and Kaden Griggs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lorraine (Reece) Noe, wife, Barbara Maxine Mitchell, son, Gregory Leon Noe, brother, Virgil Noe, and sister, Norma Jenks.
