Trey Timothy Delay

rey Timothy DeLay was born December 13, 2001, in Brighton, Colorado to Timothy Gene DeLay and Dawn Charee Derby.
Trey grew up in Brighton, Colorado and graduated from Brighton High School in May of 2020. His passion was football which he started playing when he was 7. He played through high school and during these years, he developed some of the strongest, loyal and long-lasting friendships with his teammates. These boys became like brothers and were the best of friends.
Trey had 3 older siblings, his brother Cole and sisters Maddy and Kenna. He looked up to his older siblings and loved them all very much. Trey was able to not only see his brother get married but got to participate in the ceremony. That made him proud to be there for his older brother.
Trey enjoyed snowboarding, spending time at the lake, and going to concerts and sporting events with his friends and family. Growing up Trey, Cole, Madison, McKenna and cousins Erica and Meagan spent time in the summer at the family cabin.
Trey had an infectious smile that lit up every room that he walked into. He had a great sense of humor and would do anything to help his friends, family or anyone that needed it. He was loving and cared about the people in his life.
Trey is survived by his mother Dawn, brother Cole, sisters Madison and McKenna, grandparents Dave and Laura Derby, Lynne Derby, Linda DeLay as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends who also considered him family. He is preceded in death by his father Tim DeLay and grandfathers Gene DeLay and John (Papa) Fresquez.
