Trina Dian (Kennedy) Woodward was born on January 15, 1943 to Roland and Pauline Kennedy in Spartanburg, NC. She was the oldest of three and she felt charged with caring for and protecting Sonny and Debbie whom she loved greatly.
She married the love of her life, Marcus, on August 25, 1962. They spent the next 50 years building a life and family, and filling their hearts with beautiful memories until Mark was called home to Jesus on September 8, 2012.
Trina was incredibly intelligent with a curiosity for learning and expanding her horizons. She created and enjoyed building several businesses which thrived and afforded many opportunities to her family. She found great joy in building other women up and giving them a sense of purpose.
Above all else she poured into her family. Her children David, Douglas and wife Amy, and Courtney and husband Marty along with her precious grandchildren Jared, Aubrey, Brooke, John, Eliana, Ian, Tyler, Justin, Hudson, Hayden, and Cadence; and her remaining sibling Debbie along with many nephews and nieces feel her absence deep in their hearts.
One thing Trina always took time to share with others was her testimony: Jesus took care of her every day of her life and she knew she could trust Him. She would want the same for you too.
The family will be celebrating Trina's life with a See You Later gathering tomorrow and would like you to dress in colors that suit the celebration. Trina's favorite colors were green, purple, and turquoise.
