Troy R. "Bo" Buzbee, age 93, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 3, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 8, 1931 in Cass County, Texas to Robert and Stella Buzbee. Bo was a member of Queen City Methodist Church, an Army veteran during the Korean War and retired from Red River Army Depot. He was a commissioner on ESD #2 fire board for 24 years and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping.
Bo is preceded in death by two sisters; one brother; son, Travis D. Buzbee; grandson, Chance Buzbee; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elouise Buzbee of Atlanta, Texas; son, Troy Buzbee of Atlanta, Texas; daughter, Pam Upchurch and husband Wayne of Atlanta, Texas; brother, Glenn Buzbee and wife Patti of Queen City, Texas; two sisters, Frankie Crooks and husband Danny of Queen City, Texas, Brenda Schermerhorn of Atlanta, Texas; four grandchildren, Troy Buzbee, Jessica Upchurch, Cort Buzbee, Eveyn Upchurch; five great grandchildren, Hope, Tristan, Samuel, Caleb, Case; and a host of nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in the Hanner Funeral Service Chapel, with Bro. Billy Dupree officiating.
Interment will be in Courtland Cemetery.
