Troy Griffith

Troy Eugene Griffith, 55, of McPherson, KS, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025 at his residence. Troy was born in McPherson, Kansas on April 3, 1970, a son of Wilbur Eugene and Marva (Skinner) Griffith. He attended Roosevelt Grade School, McPherson Junior High and McPherson High School, McPherson, KS. Troy was employed with Revere Plastics (Ferguson MFG) in McPherson Troy enjoyed being an avid bow hunter, fishing, camping, cooking out, loved being "PaPa", avid Dallas Cowboys fan and liked John Denver music ,and spending time with his friends and family. Troy was united in marriage to Michele Simpson in 2006 in McPherson, KS. This union was blessed with two stepchildren, Morgan and Mason and the birth of a son, Madden. He is survived by his wife, Michele Simpson, of McPherson, KS; step daughter, Morgan Whittaker (Josh), of Carbondale, KS, step son, Mason Simpson, of McPherson, KS; Son, Madden Griffith, of McPherson, KS; mother, Marva Griffith, McPherson, Ks; brother, Jeremy Griffith (Stephanie), of Baxter Springs, KS; aunt, Myrna Walline (Russ) Galva, Ks and Aunt Becky Estes (Ricky), of McPherson, KS and grandmother, Elaine (Skinner) Anderson, McPherson, KS. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Kohen Whittaker, Portlynn Whittaker and Georgia Simpson and a nephew, Lucas Griffith; other cousins and a host of friends. Troy was preceded in death by his father Gene; grandparents, Charles and Marsha Skinner and his uncle, Geoff Skinner. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 20, 2025 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at 816 Clubhouse Dr. , McPherson, KS 67460.
