On September 25, 1993, Troy married his high school sweetheart, Dawn Kamphoff.

After high school, he worked various jobs including Village Northwest Unlimited, Diamond Vogel, and in 2009 started his position as an Operations Manager at Auto Refinished Solutions. Troy loved spending time with his family, especially on trips to Jamaica and Mexico. He loved grilling and trying new recipes and was famous for his deviled eggs and gizzards, which were always requested at gatherings. For many years he also enjoyed his hobby as a DJ for TD Tunes.

Troy was his children’s #1 fan. He lived for his family, his faith, and his friends and he will be forever missed.
