Troy Raymond Stolper, 59, of Bargersville, Indiana, took his eternal journey home on July 28, 2023, after a battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family, who was dedicated to his care and comfort, so he could pass peacefully at home.
Troy was born in Rockford, Illinois to Kenneth and Judith Stolper.
He followed in his father's footsteps and became a Mechanical Insulation Contractor. He took great pride in his work, in both function and aesthetics, even when using his many handyman talents for woodworking or home repair projects, fixing electronics, and everything in between. He was a man who liked to keep busy, and in his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible, grilling, caring for the lawn, and gardening. He was known for growing the best tomatoes. He never overlooked a good bargain, either, and always found a beneficial use for those special finds. He loved sharing a humorous remark or joke to make others laugh. He had a very kind heart, as well, and helped others in need with whatever he was able to do for them.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Stolper. He leaves behind his mother, Judith Stolper of Bargersville, Indiana; his sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Michael Hare of Flowery Branch, Georgia; his sister and brother-in-law, Francene and Michael Fratrick of Park City, Illinois; two nephews, Jeremiah (Shelby) Slocum of Gainesville, Georgia, and Nathan (Karen) Slocum of Jefferson, Georgia; and many other beloved family members and friends.
Troy's wishes were to be cremated. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
