Trudy D. Roman, 80, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born April 24, 1945, in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Fred Emery and Betty Kiser (the late James) McLaughlin. She retired from Keystone Auto/AutoPlus in Elizabeth where she worked for over 25 years as a sales clerk. Trudy was a longtime member of the Boston United Methodist Church. She was well known for her delicious pies and her candy making. Trudy loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, Scrabble, Pinochle and all types of board games. Trudy loved to travel whether it was by boat, train, bus or car and her regular trips to the casino. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, William T. "Bill" Roman, Jr.; children, Bill (Joe Forti) Roman, Tammy Reber, and Kevin (Bernice) Roman; grandchildren, Ashley (Stephen) Outten, Tyler Reber, Isaac Reber, Hailee Reber, Aireanna Reber, Roger Jimenez, Destinee Jimenez, and Isaac Jimenez; great-grandchildren, Emery and Locklyn Outten, Sutton and Sadie Reber and Nathan Escalante; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ashton Reber, who passed away March 21, 2025; brother, Dennis McLaughlin, who passed away June 24, 2023; and sister, Bonita "Bonnie" Todd, who passed away 13 days before her on October 13, 2025. Friends are welcome on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11:00 am at The Boston United Methodist Church with The Rev. Scott Lawrence, officiating. Burial will be private.
